“Volunteers.ae” platform is a dynamic, easy-to-use volunteering platform that was established in 2017 as a partnership between Emirates Foundation and the Ministry of Community Empowerment.
The platform supports and serves the volunteering community through key functions for volunteers, volunteering groups, and organizations. It serves as a centralized hub where individuals can find volunteering opportunities that align with their interests, skills, and availability. EF continuously reassesses, develops, and enhances the platform's offerings and features to meet international standards and keep pace with technological advancements.

Organizations and volunteer teams must provide in both Arabic and English:
- Opportunity details (title, description, objectives, selection criteria, roles)
- Clear statement of the community benefit the opportunity serves.
- Date, time, and location
- Licensing requirements of the Emirate.
- Contact person information.
How can organizations and volunteer teams obtain a volunteering license through the platform?
For volunteering activities in Abu Dhabi Emirate, organizations and volunteer teams are required to obtain a volunteering license through the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi via

What is the expected timeframe for review and approval of opportunities and trainings, organizations and volunteer teams registrations?
The review timeframe varies depending on the type of request and may take up to 5 working days. Applicants will be notified by email once their request has been reviewed or if additional information is required.
